In 2014 i was invited to play in Heidelberg in a Club. Due to the lack of other fellow musicians that night, i started to build a concept for playing my first solo-concert under the synonyme "Bertino - just guitar", first only for this date.
But on this evening i realized that it seemed to have worked pretty well, as the audience liked my gig and program.
So i started further investigating and developing that solo-program, so i would be able to play gigs all alone - just me and my guitar - and thus the Project "Bertino - just guitar" was born.
I have to admit that the interaction with other musicians playing music in a band is always something special and not replaceable, as this is (in the best case) possible creating a special deepness in the music by communication.
But playing alone 
(in my case i use a so called "Looper" as my "acompaning band"), is in the same time giving also a great musical freedom. Beeing able to play anything you want on your instrument, without negotiating with other collegues first... You are able to play without any time pressure or changing the timing or style just the way you decide to do so in just a minute to the other.
This way i am able to present music absoloute freely without beeing bound to any category.
Thats why i decided to further investigate and develop my Program. Meanwhile i have built up a repertoire of approx. 60-80 Tunes of all kinds of styles, a blend mix of Jazz, Pop, classics and original compositions that i perform in my own style somewhere between Jazz-Manouche, Blues, Pop - in a kind of "how-ever-you-might-call-it"-Style. 
You may call it a "jazzy Singer-Songwriter-stuff with a touch of Jazzmanouche" or "swingy Pop-Guitar with Jazz and vocals". Call it what you want ... up to you. I call it - music :-)
